Appointments & Booking

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required to see a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist. You can book an appointment directly with our clinic. However, referrals may be required for certain programs such as NDIS, WorkCover or Medicare care plans.

How do I book an appointment?

Appointments can be booked online through our online booking system, or by contacting our clinic directly on 07 3202 1122. Our reception team will be happy to assist you in finding the most suitable appointment time.

How long are appointments?

Most consultations run for approximately 30 minutes, allowing time for assessment, treatment and rehabilitation guidance. Some specialised consultations and classes may run longer depending on the type of appointment.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring any relevant scans, referral letters, or medical information related to your condition. If you have concession cards or private health insurance, it may also be helpful to bring your health fund card for on-the-spot claiming.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement. Depending on the area being assessed, you may be asked to adjust clothing or change into clinic-provided shorts. Towels and draping are always used to maintain privacy and comfort during treatment.

Physiotherapy & Treatment

What happens at the first physiotherapy appointment?

Your first appointment will include a detailed assessment of your condition. Your physiotherapist will discuss your symptoms, medical history and goals before performing a physical examination.

Following the assessment, your physiotherapist will explain their findings and develop an individualised treatment plan which may include hands-on therapy, rehabilitation exercises, dry needling where appropriate, and advice to support your recovery.

How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required varies depending on the nature and severity of the condition being treated as well as your individual goals. Some injuries improve within a few visits, while others may require a longer rehabilitation program. Your physiotherapist will discuss an expected treatment plan during your initial consultation.

Can physiotherapy help even if I’ve had pain for a long time?

Yes. Physiotherapy can still be very beneficial for long-standing or chronic pain conditions. Treatment focuses on improving movement, strength and function while addressing factors that may be contributing to ongoing pain.
