Remedial massage for soft tissue tightness will be of assistance to many clients who currently consult with the physiotherapists.
Massage is an effective tool in reducing tightness of muscle and connective tissues (fascia) that bind and organise our bodies. Since nerves and blood vessels have to pass through theses connective tissue layers, stiffness in fascia can cause far reaching problems.
Conditions such as tension headaches, spinal pain, sports related muscle pain, post injury stiffness, postural and overuse tendon injuries can all gain extra benefit from remedial massage.
Dale’s work will assist with pain relief, stiffness, postural alignment, circulation and lymphatic flow.
Deep Tissue Remedial Massage
This focuses on determining the underlying holistic causes for many musculoskeletal & connective tissue dysfunctions and then developing a treatment program designed to; decrease pain, increase range of motion and restore balance to the soft tissue structures of the body. This form of treatment utilises numerous specialised techniques including; Neuromuscular Trigger Pointing, Myofascial Release, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Positional Release and Joint Mobilisation. This also includes postural analysis and orthopaedic assessment where relevant landmarks of the body frame can be located and observed during specific range of motion and restriction tests.
Myo-Tonic Unwind Massage
This focuses on light to deep Swedish based massage with additional elements inspired by numerous techniques, using varying pressure to suit the client. This unique blend seeks to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system to promote sleep, tissue repair and a general sense of well being. Typically without the in depth assessment of a deep tissue treatment, this service can include trigger pointing, stretching and some deep tissue work.
